PEORIA, Ill. – A Saturday night traffic stop in Peoria led to multiple people arrested on weapons charges.
Peoria Police says the stop occurred in the area of University and Jeth just after 10:30 P.M.
Officers reportedly observed multiple firearms as they approached the vehicle. Four people inside the vehicle were detained during an investigation.
A search of the vehicle allegedly turned up six loaded weapons that were seized. Two of the weapons were rifles, while four were handguns with one modified to be a fully automatic weapon.
The four arrested were 20-year-old Angel Osegueda, 20-year-old Brian Rodriguez, 19-year-old Jesus Araiza, and 22-year-old Blaise Raissner.
Osegueda, Rodriguez, and Araiza were each charged with Aggravated Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm Under the Age of 21, Possession of a Firearm Without a Valid FOID Card, and Unlawful Possession of Firearm Ammunition Without a FOID Card.
Raissner was charged with Gun Running, Possession of a Machine Gun (two counts), Unlawful Possession of a Weapon (two counts), Possession of a Firearm Without a Valid FOID Card, Unlawful Possession of Firearm Ammunition Without a FOID Card, Aggravated Fleeing, and multiple traffic and vehicle code violations.
