Improper disposal of smoking materials blamed for Peoria garage fire

PEORIA, Ill. – There were no injuries following a garage fire in the 1500 block of West Virginia Thursday night. 

Officials say the fire was caused by the improper disposal of smoking materials. 

Peoria Fire reminds residents to properly extinguish smoking materials and dispose of them in a safe, non-combustible container, and never leave them unattended.
