PEORIA, Ill. – The man charged in relation to Peoria’s third homicide of the year has been indicted by a grand jury.
21-year-old Javier McGhee was indicted Tuesday on one count of Murder, a Class M Felony.
He is accused in the shooting death of 27-year-old Trashawn Morris on the evening of March 23rd at the Lexington Hills Apartments complex.
McGhee is due back in court on April 18th for an arraignment hearing.
It was the first of two homicides in the apartment complex that weekend.
61-year-old Josef Viel was indicted last week in relation to the stabbing death of 58-year-old Tonya Fuller, just hours after the shooting.
